
With the market waiting for major decisions from the CBN’s monetary policy committee and the still reeling from the worst GDP figure in the last six years, investors still took a bullish position, bringing the markets back into a positive territory by 0.80%. Analyst view:
Activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) enter the second day of the week with positive index.
Reports shows that the market capitalisation which started on a downwards trend at N9.287 trillion on Monday increase by N65.57 billion or 0 .71 per cent to close at N9.352 trillion.
Also, the All-Share Index appreciated by 215.53 points or 0.80 per cent to close at 27,231.50 points ,against 27,015.97 on Monday.
Top gainer
Gainers for equities change today as Vitafoam led the gainers’ table with a gain of 30k to close at N4.60 per share. Nahco also gained 22k to close at 4.78, Fidson increased by 10k to close at N2.20 per share. Nigeria Police force micro finance bank gained 5k to close at N1.14 and DN Meyer grew by 3k to close at .82k per share.
Top Losers
On the Losers chat,Reports shows that Cap plc led the Losers table with a loss of N2.00 to close at N38.00 per share. Cadbury also may a loss of 86 k to close at N16.38, Union Dicon decline by 62k to close at N11.90 per share. Learnafrica also made a loss 8k to close at 77k while Neimeth made a lose of 4k to close at 91k per share.
Most active
FBNH bank lead the most active sector in term of volume of shares trade, accounting for 81.82m share value at N311.24m, UCAP trailed with an exchange of 28.34m valued at N56.98m.
Most Traded
Zenith bank lead the most traded chart in term of value trade, accounting for 17.29m share value at N 260.28m but decline by 0.17% to close at N15 FBNH trailed with an exchange of 81.82m valued at N311.24m and also drop 0.01% in price to close at N3.79.
Top turnover
FBNH had the highest turnover of valued at N 311.24m but decline by 0.01% in price to close at N3.79 also was Zenith Bank with N260.28 to close at N15, Guaranty also made a turnover of valued N242.29m but drop 0.18% in price to close at N20.02 while Access closed with N145.52m and also drop 0.01% in price to close at N5.20.
In all, a total of 274.21 million shares worth N1.539 billion were traded by investors in 4,160 deals, in compared with 316.735 million shares valued at N1.909 billion which exchanged hands in 3.924 deals on Monday.
