As you read this post, Arik Air is currently trending on Twitter for the wrong reasons. The airline is reported to have overbooked a flight leaving Lagos for Benin by 42 passengers. Pictures of angry passengers crowding its check-in desk are flying all over the social media especiallyTwitter.
Arik is the largest local airline in West Africa. The company has been under intense pressure, reportedly attributed to finance and harsh economic conditions.
