The prolonged patent dispute between Apple and Samsung would be getting a consideration very soon. The US supreme court disclosed this on Monday saying it would be examining Samsung’s appeal that it should not have to pay hundreds of millions of dollars to Apple in a patent infringement verdict, given to Apple in 2012.
According to industry experts, the appeal reaching the U.S . Supreme Court is already a win of sorts for Samsung and could determine the significance of design in patent disputes.
Apple sued Samsung in 2011, arguing the technology company duplicated design features of iPhone. However, other digital establishments including Google, Facebook and eBay threw their weight behind Samsung.
