While Nigeria’s Super Eagles appears to be pussy-footing in naming its squad for the crucial 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Egypt’s Head Coach. Héctor Cúper (a former Argentine footballer), has invited nine players from Zamalek, one of Egypt’s flagship local football club.
Other players on the roll call are foreign based players- AS Roma, Mohamed Elneny of Arsenal, Ahmed Hassan Koka of Sporting Braga and Amr Warda of Panetolikos.
With this development, Samson Siasia (took over after the sudden resignation of Sunday Oliseh), Nigeria’s acting National team coach might unveil his squad any moment from now, a joker Cúper will be keen to see.
