Lanre Adesanya exits Sterling Bank as Executive Director

Mr. Lanre Adesanya has retired as an Executive Director of Sterling Bank Plc (the Bank) with effect from 1st December, 2017. He was appointed Executive Director of the Bank in December, 2005.

Mr. Lanre Adesanya currently serves as the Executive Director, Commercial and Institutional Banking at Sterling Bank; a position he has held since January 2006. He obtained a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Economics, both from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. His banking career spans over 28 years and has seen him serve in various senior management capacities at NBM Bank Limited (former Nigbel Merchant Bank Limited) during the 1990s, rising to become Executive Director in 2004, and subsequently Managing Director/CEO in 2005.

Mr. Adesanya is an alumnus of Lagos Business School, Harvard Business School, UCLA (Creativity and Innovation), Stanford Business School and Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His retirement comes after 30 years of meritorious service to the Bank.
