MRS Oil appoints Patrice Alberti as chairman

MRS Oil said it has appointed Patrice Alberti as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, following the resignation of Alhaji Sayuu I. Dantata as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company.

Mr. Patrice Alberti holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Paris Academy and has been with the MRS Group since 2004. He is currently the Group Managing Director of MRS Group of Companies and a Director on the Board of Corlay Global S.A.
Prior to joining MRS Group, he held a number of positions over a period of 20 years in various banks in Europe namely: BNP Paribas, Paribas, Banque Arabe Internationale D’Investitssment, Banco Central SA, to mention a few.

Mr. Patrice Alberti is a banking expert with over 20 years banking experience garnered from Banco Central, B.A.I.I., Paribas and BNP-Paribas Paris as Senior Marketer in charge of West Africa for their division Energy, Commodities, Export, Project. He has been a Non-Executive Director of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc since March 20, 2009. He served as a Director of MRS Holdings LTD. 

Alhaji Sayyu Idris Dantata is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MRS Holdings Ltd (Formerly, MRS Group). Alhaji Dantata started his career as Director of the Engineering and Transport Division of Dangote Group – considered the Largest Nigerian conglomerate. He has been the Chairman and Director of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc since March 20, 2009. He serves as a Director of Hydro Alternative Energy, Inc.

He has been a Non-Executive Director of Nigerian Telecommunications Limited since August 2008. He served as a Director at MRS Holdings Ltd. (also known as MRS Group) and Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc. He is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer by training at the Morris Brown College Atlanta- Georgia, USA.
