Mrs. Viola Graham-Douglas has been appointed as Corporate Relations Director of Guinness Nigeria Plc, effective from June 1, 2017.
Mrs. Graham-Douglas started her career in the banking industry in Nigeria and worked in varied roles with reputable banks. Starting off in the Treasury Department of Diamond Bank and thereafter moved on to hold other key positions in Corporate Finance & Corporate Banking in the Nigeria banking sector.
She served as the Managing Director and Director at Atlas Cement Company Limited. She joined Lafarge Wapco in 2004 as the Treasury Manager and went on to become Lafarge Wapco Secretary/Head of Corporate Services. After handling Legal and Communications for WAPCO, she got the opportunity to joinLafarge Group Audit as an Audit Director in 2008 and was based in Paris.
In 2011, she joined Atlas Cement as the Managing Director based in Port-Harcourt and has gained valuable operational experience. In 2013, in addition to her role in Atlas she took on the position of Communication Director and manages the communication function for Lafarge businesses in Nigeria. She is also a recipient of the British Council Chevening Scholarship and acquired a Masters Degree in Investment Management from Cass Business School also in the UK.
She is a graduate of Law from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and was called to Nigerian Bar. She furthered her studies by obtaining a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Sheffield, United Kingdom
Viola Graham-Douglas is expected to drive the corporate relations agenda of Guinness Nigeria. She will oversee the relationship between the company and its critical internal and external stakeholders. Sustainable development and implementation of the corporate social investment of Guinness Nigeria also falls under her purview.
